President Vladimir Putin has decided to postpone his speech at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, it will start an hour later, at 15:00 Moscow time, his press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

“Since yesterday, massive DDoS attacks have begun on Internet resources and the SPIEF accreditation system. The database of forum participants and the access system were disabled,— Peskov explained the reason for the transfer.

According to him, as a result of DDoS attacks, “there was a hitch with obtaining badges.” “Specialists are working, the problem is fixable,” — the spokesman added.

According to Peskov, Putin is personally preparing for a speech at the plenary session of the SPIEF, at which “he will surely give a deep analysis of the reasons for what happened and is happening.” “And, of course, he will talk about how things are with us, how things are with them, and how he sees the future development of this situation,” — said the press secretary in an interview with Izvestiya.

After the speech, a discussion is scheduled, which will be moderated by RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan. According to Peskov, five or six questions should be included in the open part of the conversation with media representatives, then communication will continue in a closed format.

After the plenary session, the President plans to meet with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, new President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturian and member of the Presidium of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Serbian people Milorad Dodik, the Kremlin spokesman added, TASS reports. When asked by journalists whether the president would meet with the leaders of the DPR and LPR, Peskov replied that “any meetings are possible on the sidelines of the forum.”
