Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the NATO summit in Madrid will show evidence of support from Sweden and Finland for members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK; in Turkey, this organization is recognized as a terrorist organization), the Sabah newspaper writes.

According to the publication, the Turkish president will bring “special documents and files” , confirming the help of the PKK. In particular, serial numbers and photographs of Swedish AT4 anti-tank grenade launchers captured during operations in Syria and northern Iraq will be shown as evidence, Sabah clarifies.

Ankara blocks the entry of Sweden and Finland in NATO. Countries applied in May. According to Erdogan, Turkey will not change its attitude towards the membership of these northern European states in the North Atlantic alliance until they take “clear, concrete and decisive action.” Turkish President considers Sweden and Finland “incubators” for terrorists. Ankara is demanding that Helsinki and Stockholm hand over PKK members to them and close all structures associated with them.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called Turkey's fears about supporting terrorism legitimate. According to him, the bloc continues to maintain close contacts with all parties in order to settle relations with Ankara and make progress on the applications of Sweden and Finland as soon as possible.
