Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Dushanbe, where he will meet with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon. This was reported by TASS.
The beginning of the protocol conversation will be open to the media, after which the heads of state will continue to communicate over an informal working lunch. According to the agency, it is expected that negotiations will continue after that.
Aide to the President of Russia Yuri Ushakov said the day before that Putin and Rahmon would discuss cooperation in the trade, economic, military-technical, cultural, humanitarian and migration fields, the situation in Afghanistan, as well as the prospects for Tajikistan's accession to the EAEU.
The trip became the first foreign visit of the Russian president after the start of the special operation in Ukraine. Immediately after his visit to Dushanbe, Putin will travel to Ashgabat to attend the Caspian Summit.

Putin and Rahmon last met in May: the Tajik president was the only foreign leader to attend the Victory Parade in Moscow this year. At the meeting, they discussed labor migration issues.
